Series 3 of BBC Wales drama, The Indian Doctor was a great opportunity to use multiple design skills. Working as art department assistant was a great challange and incorporated graphic design, prop making and set dressing.

 

Prop making played a big part of the role, with a scaled new town model being required as an integreal part of the production as well as making period appropriate produce for a shop set. The hands on nature of the job, and a relatively small crew allowed me to spend as much time on set as in the drawing office, shadowing the Art Director and setting and striking on location and on a sound stage.
